Philosopher's stone (PS) tried to do many things, that failed due to its contradictory gameplay and mechanics. Chamber of Secrets (CoS) for the GBC is probably as good as it's going to get. Only play it if you want the entire HP experience.ĩh 33m PlayedI'm not sure I'll ever have the endurance to go through every version of every Harry Potter game, so I'll make my stake now. Puzzles are easy for the most part and game mechanics are really the only thing that keep you from progressing. The camera sometimes has a mind of it's own and refuses to turn, resulting in Harry running blindly into where he needs to go. Gameplay features work well but are very limited. At 5.5 hours, it certainly doesn't warrant a ton of explanation. However, like most movie/book tie-in games of this time, the game is watery and middling. The Harry Potter IP is put to decent use here and it's simply a good time just immersing in the world. Quidditch is fun as well, and I especially enjoyed the final boss battle (even though it was quite easy). To see a game where the world mostly laid out by the book is realized is quite fun. ![]() The game mostly bases itself off the book and is clearly marketed towards a younger crowd. It shifts tones effortlessly and introduces the first bit of lore on Harry Potter. 5h 34m PlayedChamber is probably the most underrated book (and maybe movie) of the entire series.
